Vinnie Zang is the pen name of an engineer who spends his days working to make self-driving cars safe, and his evenings writing stories for young readers.

The Zavi books began at home. Inspired by his own child's questions, worries, and small everyday acts of bravery, Vinnie started turning bedtime conversations into adventures. What grew out of those nights is a series about facing fears, trying new things, and the friends who make the world feel a little less big.

He writes under a pseudonym to keep his two worlds, careful engineering and playful storytelling, happily separate.
